My name is Bora, and I’m originally from Ankara, Türkiye. At 17, I left home to pursue my studies abroad—a leap that shaped my sense of independence and responsibility. Today, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and I’m currently pursuing a master’s in Poznań University of Technology. Through this journey, I’ve learned the importance of adapting to new environments, embracing diverse perspectives, and challenging myself to grow both personally and professionally.
My passion for engineering is rooted in a desire to create tangible solutions that uplift people’s everyday lives. One of my proudest accomplishments has been developing an orthosis to support my wife during a challenging health recovery. Witnessing how a well-designed innovation can ease someone’s day-to-day struggles motivates me to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of what engineering can achieve.
Outside the lab or workshop, I find balance in playing classical guitar—a pursuit that demands the same blend of precision, patience, and creativity I cherish in engineering. Looking ahead, I plan to continue my work here in Poland, where I’ve found a supportive community for both my personal and professional endeavours. Ultimately, my goal is to keep building projects that truly impact others, drawing on the experiences and lessons learned from my journey across countries and cultures.
